New Eye Clinic in Smithfield, Utah- coming soon!

I am very excited because I am about to start the first eye doctor office and optical in Smithfield, UT. I’ve been planning this since August 2005, and I finally signed the lease with Lowdy and Nan King. I’m taking the front-left space in thier building on 136 East 800 South. This is a great location and a great building. Here is a picture of the empty shell we’re starting with. When it’s all over, we’ll have a beautiful eye clinic and eyewear dispensary to serve the North Cache community.

I also just got my logo finalized. I wanted to somehow convey the idea of “elevated vision” while tie in something common to our area. The designer, Derek Best, is originally from Utah, and he came up with this beautiful creation.

I chose “Summit” instead of Smithfield because I wanted to be inclusive of all the communities in the North Cache area. Our slogan is “Complete Eyecare and Eyewear Designs” so that everyone knows exactly what we do. As an optometric physician with hospital experience, I am your primary eyecare provider- your first point of contact when you have a concern about your eyes and/or vision. The “eyewear designs” part is to convey the fact that Summit Vision Center will not sell you just glasses. We will meet your lifestyle needs with a wide variety of high quality frames and lenses. My next big hurtle is to find good people to hire for an optician and receptionist/billing. When I announce the job descriptions I will post the applications on line. Stay tuned…
