Summit Vision Center is Closing
Dr. Langford March 11th, 2008
Dear Patients and Public,
Summit Vision Center opened its doors in June 2006, but our time is approaching an end. We will soon be closing our doors. No new patient appointments or eye exams will be scheduled. If you have glasses or contacts on order, I will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM until March 31, 2008. Between April 1st and April 30, 2008, I will only be available on Mondays by appointment. In May 2008 I will no longer maintain any office hours.
Eye exams scheduled after April 1st will be canceled. You may contact the North Logan Wal-Mart Vision Center at 435-753-3906 to schedule an eye exam with me at that location. For insurance availability, see my website at visionhealtheye.com.
If you wish to continue receiving frame adjustments or optician services from Amanda, you may find her at Dr. Jaussi’s office, The Optical Shoppe. For directions call 435-750-7883.
For those wondering about the eyewear warranty, I will be severing my ties with lens labs and frame distributors in April 2008, so if a defect is currently known, you must bring it back in before then. Once ties are cut with my suppliers, I will have no way to honor a warranty. I regret this, but I also regret having to lose so much money trying to make a failed business venture work out.
I am sorry for closing the office. Smithfield is a wonderful place to live and work. I hope in the future, when my finances are again in order, to buy a home in Smithfield using my favorite real estate agent, Nan King. I plan to continue providing eyecare services at the North Logan Wal-Mart for the rest of my career.
Thank you all,
David Langford, O.D.
P.S.
There is a possibility of another optometrist taking over my lease space in the current location and keeping the same, famous, 563-2020 phone number. This optometrist could start as soon as July 2008.

Dear Dr. Langford,
My dad recently went to you for the first time for an eye exam and I just wanted you to know he was very impressed with the quality time you took with him during the exam.
I decided I would make an appointment to see you as well only to hear the news of your closing your practice. I’m sorry things didn’t work out for you and hope that your future time at Wal-Mart will be enjoyable and rewarding.
Best regards,
Heidi
